About Me
I am an Oregonian, born and raised. I was born in Portland and spent my childhood and adolescence in suburban West Linn. West Linn makes for an idyllic childhood, but like any good suburb, it lacks significant substance. Given this dearth of any real culture, I sought vicarious culture. I found it in music and writing, and spent the rest of my time there attending concerts in Portland and volunteering at the public library. Currently, I'm living in Eugene, Ore. where I just wrapped up a BA in Journalism from the University of Oregon. I managed to land a sweet gig as a freelance writer at Eugene Weekly, and though I wish I could live off a freelancer's "salary," I sadly find myself in need of more than $60/month. Enter: Hiron's Drug, where I sling everything from costumes to contact solution in order to keep myself in Thai food, wine and good times.
